Statement PDF in.Clean CSV out.
Drop a bank or credit card statement. Every line is checked against the balance your bank printed before you download anything, and the totals are checked against the ones the statement prints about itself. CSV for Xero, QBO for QuickBooks, OFX or QIF for MYOB.
Excel and CSV are free, for as many statements as you like, with no account to create. Xero, QuickBooks and MYOB formats are $9 a month.
What you get back, before you download it
Your bank prints a running balance beside each line. Every row is added to the one above it and checked against that printed figure, so a row read wrongly shows up as a row read wrongly instead of arriving in your ledger. Four rows of twenty-four, with the third one misread.

1 of 24 transactions don’t agree with the running balance printed beside them.
And a second check, for the row that was missed entirely
A missed row breaks no balance, because the balance beside it went missing too. So the totals this parse adds up are compared with the totals your statement prints about itself, which catches what the first check cannot.
Checked against what the statement says about itself
| Figure | Per the statement | Per this parse | Agreement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Money in · 8 receipts | 11,935.98 | 11,935.98 | Agrees |
| Money out · 16 payments | 8,564.73 | 8,564.73 | Agrees |
| Closing balance | 3,371.25 | 3,371.25 | Agrees |
A file only downloads once you have seen which of these passed. Where one fails, it says which row and by how much, and waits.
Questions
Is my statement uploaded anywhere?
No. Your own computer does the whole conversion, so the file never goes anywhere. Close this tab and it is gone from here too. If you would rather see that than take our word for it, your browser can show you everything a page sends: open its developer tools before you drop a statement, and nothing carrying your statement will appear. Even the typeface comes from this site rather than from somewhere else, so nothing about you reaches anyone.
Do I need an account?
No, and there is none to create. The paid plan is a license key you paste into the page, which is kept in this browser. Nothing about you is stored anywhere else, because there is no server to store it on.
Which banks does it work with?
The parser reads the columns on the page rather than a template per bank, so any statement with a date column and an amount column parses, whatever the bank. Where a bank has its own page here, a real statement from that bank has been through the parser and the page says what it found.
What does a red row mean?
The balance this parse arrives at does not match the one the statement printed next to it, and both figures are shown so you can see the size of the gap. It says so instead of calling the file clean. Downloading waits until you have seen which check failed.
The columns were read wrongly. Can I fix it?
Yes. Choose Point at the columns, and the statement page is drawn for you to click one cell in the date column, one in the amount column, and the money-in and balance columns where the statement has them. It is read again from the columns you chose, and the choice is remembered for that file.
Can I do several statements at once?
Yes. Drop as many as you have and they open side by side, each keeping its own dates, currency and corrections, and each checked in full. Downloading them one at a time is free; downloading the whole sitting in one go is on the paid plan. Either way the ones a check held back are left out rather than written quietly alongside the rest.
One row came out wrong. Can I fix that row?
Yes. Correct its date, description or amount in the table, or remove a row the statement does not have, and the running balance is checked again from your figure rather than taken on trust. Corrections are kept against that file, so opening it again picks them up.
Does it remember what I have converted?
This browser keeps a list of the statements it has written out, with the period each covered, how many transactions it found and whether the checks passed. It carries no transactions, and it goes no further than this browser. Clear it whenever you like, and do clear it if you are working on someone else's machine.
Does it handle scanned statements?
No. A scan or a photo of a statement is an image, and there is no text in it to read. Download the PDF from online banking instead.
What can I export?
Excel and plain CSV for a spreadsheet, Xero CSV for Xero's statement import, QBO for QuickBooks, OFX or QIF for MYOB and Quicken, and MT940 for the Dutch and German packages. Every format is written from the same checked transactions. The steps for importing each one are on their own page.
What does it cost?
Excel and plain CSV are free, for as many statements as you like, with no account to create and nothing that runs out. Xero CSV, QBO, OFX, QIF and MT940 are $9 a month, as is downloading a whole sitting at once. See what each plan includes.
